Redevelopment Project (PSK) at KEDA


In 2012, 2 projects have been presented to the panels of the outcome evaluation committee (JKPO) at the KKWL level. The research title is The Outcome Evaluation of Quality of Life and Participations' Satisfaction of the Housing Project of Kg. Traditional Kg. Sg. Salleh, Bandar Baharu, Kedah Darul Aman and Outcome Evaluation for the Mobilisation Project and Social Service in 2012.

Outcome Evaluation of Quality of Life and Participations' Satisfaction of the Housing Project of Kg. Traditional Kg. Sg. Salleh, Bandar Baharu, Kedah Darul Aman.


i . Scope of the Study

To get the participants' feedback about the quality of life and satisfaction on the Housing Project of Kg. Traditional Kg. Sg. Salleh, Bandar Baharu, Kedah Darul Aman.

ii . Main Outcomes

a) The percentage of participants who are satisfied with the house quality, facilities, social interaction among the participants at the residence.

b ) The percentage of participants who succeeded in raising their income and property.


iii . Achievement Indicator

The percentage (%) of the participants' level of satisfaction is used as a tool to measure the outcome of each research component.

iv . Objective

a) to upgrade the residence quality of life through a more organized resettlement area which is equipped with good infrastructure and social amenities.

b ) to develop human capital in order to create a society which is proactive, knowledgeable and skillful.


v . Target Output and Actual Output

The target output and the actual output cover 3 phases:

a) 173 house units

b ) Clean water supply and electricity

C ) Drainage System

d ) Individual Septic Tank

e ) Roads in the residential area


vi . Research Summary

a) Overall, this project has successfully increased the participants' quality of life. Nonetheless, other aspects of economy have to be taken into consideration at the initial planning stage so that the participants could increase their quality of life to a better level.

b ) Grouping the participants into an integrated settlement with complete public amenities and infrastructure has enabled KEDA to achieve the objective to provide comfort to the participants and make the implementation of the economic activities, community service and aids easier.

c ) Uplift the image of KEDA among the agencies under KKLW in the effort to create quality villages, speed up the implementation and integration of the development programmes, increase the welfare of the rural community and achieve some of the ministry objectives in providing the basic infrastructures, utilities and facilities.
