Project Timorensis Farmed Deer, Kampung Semeliang, Padang Terap
KEDA has begun to implement the Agriculture and Livestock Project Trasfomasi rural areas in Kedah Darul Aman. One of the ongoing projects is Deer Farming. The project was initiated in 2012 with a joint venture company Semeliang Agro Farm Sdn. Limited. At the start of the project a total of 35 deer were reared timorensis type involves 7 players.
In 2014, the number of deer has increased by 65 pieces and a total to date of 100 pieces. In addition to breed deer, the joint venture also involves the provision of infrastructure facilities such as lecture hall / seminar rooms and accommodation for participants, as well as tours and Edu Agro Tourism Project.
KEDA also expanded this project to provide breed deer and providing infrastructure facilities to 7 players in Kubang Pasu district and Baling, Kedah Darul Aman. This is consistent with the desire to make as manufacturers KEDA breed and fresh venison in Malaysia.
