Initiative 8: Funding Facilities
Ministry of Finance in collaboration with financial institutions and government agencies have been providing micro-credit facilities to borrowers at the RTC. Financing schemes that offer interest rate / low profit aims to help entrepreneurs establish businesses in the RTC.
Between Financial Institutions and financing facilities provided are as follows: -
Skim Pembiayaan Ekonomi Desa (SPED) - The Ministry of Rural and Regional
Bank Simpanan Nasional - Providing microfinance.
Agrobank- Provides agricultural microfinance.
Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Berhad (PUNB) - Provides financing to entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial development packages to assist Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the areas of Retail and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
TEKUN - Providing Microfinance and Entrepreneurship Development Support.
SME Bank - to provide financing to SMEs.
Skim Jaminan Usahawan MARA (SJUM) - provides financing to entrepreneurs. Through this scheme, the MARA collaboration with commercial banks that offer financing facilities and MARA act as guarantor. Islamic Economic Development Foundation
Malaysia (YaPEIM) - Ar-Rahnu scheme is a scheme that produced a gold-backed loans as collateral and the borrower is given a margin of financing of up to a maximum of 65% or not melebihiRM5,000.00.
Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) - providing micro-credit facilities with the proper guidance and training to poor households, the poorest and entrepreneurial endeavors.
