PENDANG – The Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) continued the organisation of the Ramadan Spiritual Nourishment Program for the KEDA Village Community, Zone 3, Pendang at Desa KEDA Tanjung Setol, which served as the eighth location for the KEDA Grand Iftar Program 1447H, featuring welfare and spiritual activities that benefited the local community.
The ceremony was officiated by Encik Mohamad Fadzil bin Zolkipli, representing the Advisor for KEDA Programs and Activities for the Pendang Parliament, Dato’ Suraya binti Yaakob.
The program began with the Ziarah Kasih (Compassionate Visit) initiative led by the KEDA General Manager, YBhg. Puan Hajah Afifah binti Haji Omar.
During the session, she took the opportunity to visit and show care for KEDA community members who were bedridden at their homes by delivering personal assistance as a gesture of the management’s concern for the welfare of rural community members in need.
The event continued with a symbolic presentation of the Selected Area Integrated Development Project (PIKAT) 2025 for the Pendang district, representing KEDA’s commitment to strengthening integrated rural development.
In addition, food basket assistance was distributed to beneficiaries to help ease their burden and support their preparations for Ramadan.
The highlight of the program was the Grand Iftar Ceremony, which brought together members of the local community to break their fast together.
The event was further enriched with spiritual activities including a brief tahlil, followed by congregational Maghrib, Isyak, and Terawih prayers.
Through the organisation of this program, KEDA hopes to further strengthen the bond between the agency and rural communities while ensuring that the development agenda and welfare of rural society continue to receive due attention.
