SERDANG – The Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) remains committed to empowering rural entrepreneurs and strengthening rural development, in line with the Government’s aspiration to improve the socioeconomic well-being of rural communities.
This commitment was demonstrated through KEDA’s participation in the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026, particularly through its involvement at the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) Pavilion, which served as a platform to promote the initiatives and development programmes undertaken by the agency.
Through its participation this year, KEDA showcased eight rural entrepreneurs, alongside the Desa Kirana Sedim community from Kulim and the Pulau Tuba community from Langkawi. Various interactive activities were also organised to attract visitors and provide them with an opportunity to learn more about KEDA’s products, services and initiatives.
The MAHA 2026 Closing Ceremony, held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Representing KEDA at the ceremony was KEDA Deputy General Manager (Management), Mr. Khairul Azmeer bin Abu Bakar. He also took the opportunity to visit and engage with KEDA entrepreneurs participating in MAHA 2026.
KEDA extends its highest appreciation and gratitude to all parties who contributed, directly or indirectly, to the success of KEDA’s participation in MAHA 2026.
May the efforts and collaborations established continue to be strengthened in support of rural entrepreneurs and communities. See you again at the next MAHA! Thank you and congratulations to everyone for giving their very best!
