BANDAR BAHARU – The Ramadan Spiritual Nourishment Program for the KEDA Rural Community Zone 9, Bandar Baharu, which marked the final location of the KEDA Grand Iftar 1447H, was held successfully in a lively and vibrant atmosphere at the compound of Dewan Desa KEDA Sungai Buluh here recently.

The event was officiated by the Advisor for KEDA Programmes and Activities for the Kulim/Bandar Baharu Parliament, YBhg. Datuk Muhar Bin Hussain, who also spent time engaging with the local community in enlivening the blessed month of Ramadan.

The programme, which began as early as 6:00 PM, commenced with the arrival of residents and invited guests, followed by the arrival of the guest of honour.

The ceremony continued with a doa recitation and a welcoming speech by the Deputy General Manager (Operations) of KEDA, who expressed appreciation for the presence and support of the community.

In his speech, he emphasised the importance of such programmes as a platform to strengthen ties between KEDA and the rural community, while also enhancing the spiritual essence of Ramadan.

A speech was also delivered by YBhg. Datuk Muhar Bin Hussain, highlighting KEDA’s ongoing commitment in empowering rural community development and improving the welfare of village residents.

The event was further enlivened with the presentation of Traditional House Ownership Grants to eligible recipients, as well as the distribution of food baskets as a gesture of care for those in need.

The programme continued with a tahlil recitation before attendees gathered to break their fast together and perform the Maghrib prayer in congregation.

The organisation of this programme not only enlivened the spirit of Ramadan but also successfully strengthened the close relationship between KEDA and the local community, in line with the aspiration of developing a prosperous rural society.
